Sand and Stars Resort on South Manistique Lake is an ideal location for your summer vacation. Our resort is located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and only 65 miles from the Mackinac Bridge and offers 2 and 3 bedroom cot tages and a motel. Our lakefront is ideal for the whole family. Sit and relax on our long dock, swim or wade in the sand bottomed shallow area . . . perfect for the kids, or try your luck fishing.

HOUSEKEEPING COTTAGES
Our 5 cottages have 2 or 3 bedrooms and have been completely renovated including new furnishings and floor coverings. Living areas have comfortable seating, ceiling fans and cable TV. The complete kitchens contain full
size appliances, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. All of the cabins have similar furnishings.

The bedrooms have a double bed in each bedroom. Bed linens are provided for our guests, but please bring your towels and paper products. The bathroom has a tub or a shower. Each cabin has a large deck with lawn chairs, a gas grill, and a picnic table for outdoor cooking and dining.
Our resort has a small playground, a fish cleaning house, and a coin laundry.

SAND and STARS MOTEL The Sand and Stars Motel has 4 comfortable guest rooms and is perfect for overnight and short stays. Guest rooms are 12’ by 24’ and furnished with two double beds, Cable TV, wireless internet access, ceiling fan, small r efrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. All rooms have a nice view of the lake. Towels are furnished for our motel guests. There is one handicap room available. |

SAND and STARS VACATION HOME
| Part of the Sand and Stars Resort, our Vacation Home has a full kitchen with a dishwasher and flat top electric stove. Guests share the same amenities as those of the resort. Enjoy the 180' of sandy beach, docks to park your boat, onsite boat rental service, fish cleaning station, and the gorgeous summer nights. The house can comfortably sleep up to 10 guests. |  |

BOAT RENTALS: We have fishing boats with outboard motors, 20' pontoon boats, and 18' pleasure boats available for rent for fun on the lake. South Manistique Lake is large enough for waterskiing, tubing, and wakeboarding or you can take a leisurely boat ride or a sunset cruise. There is a boat ramp nearby if you bring your own boat and plenty of room for your boat by our long pier.

South Manistique Lake is well known for walleye, perch, northern pike, tiger musky, bass (large and small mouth), and a large supply of panfish. After a good day of enjoying the water, you might like to sit by the waterfront and enjoy the sunset or around the campfire in our lakeside fire pit. |

Our resort is located about 1 ½ mile south of Curtis where you will find grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, churches, gift shops, fishing equipment, and bait.
Sand and Stars Resort and Motel is conveniently located near many Upper Peninsula attractions and wonderful outdoor recreations. It’s only about an hour drive to visit Upper and Lower Tahquamenon Falls, you can drive, canoe, or bike through the Seney National Wildlife Refuge, or tour the Seul Choix Lighthouse that some say is haunted by an old lighthouse keeper.
Golf courses are nearby and there is easy access to ATV and snowmobile trails. Trails lead throughout the Lake Superior State Forest and offer many miles of great riding. ATV rentals nearby. Cabin #1 (2-Bedrooms)

Sand and Stars Resort and Motel is easy to find. Take Highway US-2 west from the Mackinac Bridge to the intersection with County Road H-33 (59 miles). Turn north and go 5.5 miles and you will find us on the west side of the road on South Manistique Lake.
